The New Brunswick Forest Safety Association is proud to again offer the Wood Dust Explosion Prevention / NFPA Dust Compliance and Documentation Course, a 2-day program. The training will be offered in English on June 11 & 12, 2024 in Fredericton, and in French June 18 & 19, 2024 at a location to be determined.
COURSE OUTLINE
The course is delivered in 6 steps for the prevention of explosions.
DAY 1
Step 1: How to determine if you have an explosion risk and how severe.
Step 2: What provincial, national, or state codes apply. Generally, follows the requirements of the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA).
Step 3: Overview of effective methods for dust control at the source.
Step 4: Dust Collection methods.
DAY 2
Step 5: Explosion and fire prevention requirements for dust collection and dust collection systems.
Step 6: Requirements for ongoing testing and inspection.
How to complete Compliance documentation to demonstrate that all requirements of Steps 1 through 6 are complete.
Overview of dust collection design common errors and how to correct them.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
