On March 25–26, the Canadian Woodlands Forum brought together numerous exhibitors and experts from the forestry industry.

Several presentations provided a clear picture of the current state of forestry in New Brunswick and across Canada.

Discussions highlighted:

  • Current industry challenges

  • Potential solutions

  • Innovations and emerging trends

These exchanges offered valuable insight into the future of the sector and the challenges ahead.

We also had the opportunity to connect with several exhibitors, including ALPA Equipment Ltd, a well-established forestry equipment company headquartered in Balmoral. Their presence reflects the strength and expertise within our local industry.

These interactions also allowed us to build new connections in online training, opening the door to future collaborations that will help make health and safety training more accessible to the forestry sector.

The forum was followed by the Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show, held on March 26–27 at the Moncton Coliseum, another key event that brought together leaders in heavy equipment and forestry.

These events are essential for strengthening industry relationships, discovering new practices, and continuing to advance forestry in New Brunswick.
